New Member Profile: Oak Hill School
Oak Hill School is a local private school focused on creating caring and responsible critical thinkers. To welcome them as new members of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, we recently spoke with Nathan Mart, Director of Enrollment, to find out more about their school.
Tell us a little about Oak Hill School.
Founded in 1994, sitting on 72 acres, and accredited by the Northwest Association of Independent Schools, Oak Hill School is a secular (non-religious), nonprofit, private school offering a well-rounded pre-kindergarten through eighth grade education. Our goal is to inspire intellectual curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, and to promote physical well-being, respect for others, moral fortitude, and a global mindset.
What is the mission and philosophy at the school?
Our mission is to provide the best pre-kindergarten through eighth grade education, creating caring and responsible critical thinkers. We’ve found that when you nurture the development of each student intellectually, emotionally, morally, and physically, they are bright, happy, and engaged.
What makes Oak Hill School unique?
In addition to elevated academic standards that prepare students for higher education, Oak Hill students benefit from an immersive experience that includes foreign languages, nature education, outdoor pursuits, music, theater, visual arts, athletics, and much more.
