New Member Feature: Sparky’s Landscaping LLC
Meet Mark Leder, owner of Sparky’s Landscaping LLC. For nearly 16 years, Sparky’s Landscaping has been helping businesses and residents keep their yards clean and beautiful. To welcome them as a new member of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce, we recently spoke with Mark to find out more about him and his company.
Tell us a little about Sparky’s Landscaping LLC:
Thanks to Jesus the father God, Sparky’s Landscaping Maintenance was born 16 years ago this June 14th, 2023. Striving to offer Landscaping with Care to all of our customers, and a custom landscaping service tailored to their needs. Sparky’s Landscaping Maintenance changed into an LLC in 2016, so it is now known as Sparky’s Landscaping LLC. We’ve kept the same vision all these years, which is Landscaping with Care. We now serve a larger area in Oregon including Coburg, Cottage Grove, Eugene, Marcola, Oakridge, Springfield, and Walterville. For more info about Sparky’s Landscaping you can visit our website.
How did you get your start in landscaping services, and where does the name “Sparky” come from?
I got started in the landscaping industry after helping my father in Washington over the course of several summers. I realized that I was going to do landscaping and make a living at it. It’s been a blessing. I first got into the business in 2004 with a partner, and officially started Sparky’s Landscaping in 2007 after I branched off on my own. The name “Sparky” was the name of my beloved dog, who had passed away during the transition of starting the business.
Tell us about the services you provide:
Our focus is Landscaping with Care, and we service both businesses and residential properties. The services page on our website highlights all our services by season, which includes blackberry removal, edging, fertilizing, gutter cleaning, leaf removal, moss removal, mowing, lawn restoration, power washing, pruning, rototilling, transplanting, weeding, and more! I also can take on some custom projects, like laying new pavers for a patio.
What do you like most about your work?
For me, it’s easy. All of it! Landscaping, gardening, and implementing specific project guidelines is my passion and the greatest value of my job. I like the wide variety of the work, and that I can continue to learn and apply one job to the next.
Do you have any advice for others?
If the job is your passion, don’t ever give up on it. It’s worth all the sweat, tears, and hard work! Additionally, the 6 people I always want in my corner are God, a pastor, an accountant, a lawyer, a banker, and a close friend.

Be honest, be fair, and be a good listener.
