Tell us a little about TravelCard Commercial Fueling
TravelCard Commercial Fueling is a family-owned fuel card provider based in Eugene, Oregon, operating since 1976. We specialize in offering businesses cost-effective and secure fueling solutions through the Commercial Fueling Network (CFN).

  • Wholesale Fuel Pricing: Businesses can save an average of 20–30 cents per gallon when fueling at CFN locations nationwide, compared to the retail average for the area (see gasprices.AAA.com).
  • No Contracts or Hidden Fees: TravelCard distinguishes itself by eliminating contracts and hidden fees, providing straightforward savings.
  • Extensive Network Access: Our standard TravelCard offers comprehensive access to over 3,000 CFN cardlock locations across the U.S. and Canada, plus 60,000 Fuelman retail locations nationwide. This includes major brands like Chevron, Shell, ARCO, 76, TA, Loves, Sinclair, Texaco, Pilot, Flyers, and Exxon, ensuring your fleet can fuel up wherever they need to go. For even broader reach, we offer an optional Voyager card. This secondary card provides access to over 100,000 additional retail locations, including popular spots like Fred Meyer and Safeway, offering near-universal acceptance virtually anywhere a credit card is processed (note: Costco is not included). You’ll always pay the standard retail price at these locations, with no extra fees.
  • Advanced Fuel Management Tools: Users can set fuel limits by day, week, or month; monitor card usage for vehicles, equipment, and individual employees; and track every gallon used, every penny spent, along with fuel types, locations, dates, and times.
  • Local and Personalized Support: As a locally owned company, TravelCard offers personalized customer service, ensuring businesses receive attentive support.

For businesses looking to manage fuel expenses efficiently and transparently, TravelCard Commercial Fueling provides a robust solution with its combination of wholesale pricing, extensive network access, and advanced management tools.

What services do you offer and what makes TravelCard Commercial Fueling unique?
What we offer:
With our standard TravelCard, you’ll have extensive fueling options at over 3,000 CFN cardlock locations (U.S. & Canada) and over 60,000 Fuelman retail sites, encompassing popular stations such as Chevron, Shell, ARCO, and 76. For ultimate convenience, add the Voyager card to unlock access at an additional 100,000+ retail locations, offering near-universal acceptance wherever credit cards are taken.

What makes us unique:

  • We’re local and family-owned, based in Eugene, Oregon since 1976.
  • “No-one-on-hold” customer service. Clients get direct access to real people who know their business.
  • We don’t just offer cards—we help clients save. Our markup is lower than 95% of other CFN providers, and we’re happy to prove it by comparing your current statements to our pricing.
  • Transparency and honesty are key values. We don’t control the wholesale price, but we do control our markup—and ours is lower.

How did you get started in your industry?
My entrepreneurial spirit ignited early, from lemonade stands and school fundraisers to operating a high school auto detailing business. This foundational experience propelled me into diverse sales roles, where I consistently excelled. A prime example is my time at Simply Mac (a third-party Apple store at the Valley River Mall), where I achieved the distinction of #1 sales representative nationwide for seven consecutive months. My deep roots in the automotive industry began in high school, working in the warehouse at Industrial Finishes—pulling orders, mixing paint, and managing deliveries. I further expanded this industry experience at Kendall Chevy Cadillac during high school and Power GMC in Corvallis while in college. Post-college, I transitioned to a customer-facing role as a service advisor at Carr Subaru in Beaverton, followed by another shop in SE Portland. It’s fair to say I possess a comprehensive understanding of motor vehicles, from parts and paint to service and sales.

Prior to 2020, I was a traveling sales representative, conducting roadshows in Costcos and selling a wide array of products, including 3D printed insoles, camping gear, and hunting equipment. When the COVID-19 pandemic brought this unique chapter to an abrupt close, it prompted me to seek out new professional opportunities.

My job search during that time led me to TravelCard/CFN—a company I was already familiar with from seeing their stations and even being a customer while working at Industrial Finishes. I quickly realized this was an ideal fit, reasoning that my sales skills could readily translate to a product businesses inherently rely on. Joining in May 2020, I’ve since driven significant growth by signing over hundreds of companies to new fuel accounts. Throughout this time, I’ve served as the company’s sole Sales and Marketing Manager, also managing our website and all social media channels.

What do you like most about your work?
I enjoy the flexibility of managing my own schedule and the opportunity to connect with new people every day, helping them save on fuel and better manage their company’s fuel expenses. I also appreciate the variety in my work; time spent in the office, and time out on the road meeting clients locally or around the state.

Working for a small, family-owned company like TravelCard is a big part of what makes this job rewarding. There’s no pressure from sales quotas or corporate red tape—just real relationships and honest work that helps businesses save.

Any advice for others?
If you’re still using credit cards for fuel or relying on handwritten logs and receipts, you’re likely spending more than you realize—both in money and time. And if you’re already using a fuel card, don’t assume they’re all the same. Many providers tack on hidden fees or have higher markups than you think.

Take the time to review your statements or let someone do a side-by-side comparison for you. You might be surprised by how much you could save. A good fuel card should help you track every gallon, control spending, and simplify your accounting, without fees or guesswork.

More broadly, don’t be afraid to ask questions, dig into the details, and look for better options. Whether in business or in life, small changes can lead to big improvements.

Anything else you’d like to share?
Just give me a chance. There’s no contract, no fees, and no cost to open an account with TravelCard. You only pay for your fuel, and with us, you’ll usually pay less and be able to track it better than you do now.

If you run a business and fuel up vehicles every day, whether it’s one or twenty, why not let me help you save money and simplify the way you manage it? Even if you’re already using another fuel card, chances are you’re paying more than you need to.

I’d love the opportunity to show you how we compare. Local, honest, and straightforward—that’s how we do business.
