About the program
Launched in 2022, the Springfield Heritage Awards program has honored local efforts ranging from historic preservation to storytelling and education. Past recipients have been celebrated at City Council meetings and community events including the Art Walk and Block Party hosted by the Springfield History Museum.

The program is made possible through a partnership between the Springfield Historic Commission and the Springfield History Museum, whose mission is to preserve, interpret, and promote the diverse stories of Springfield and rural east Lane County.
