Free Springstitch event on November 7 gives unused craft supplies a new purpose and helps inspire creative projects

Have extra yarn, fabric or crafting supplies gathering dust? Someone else’s unused materials could be exactly what you need for your next creative project.

Springfield Public Library invites community members to its annual Springstitch Community Craft Swap on Saturday, November 7, from 1:00 to 2:30pm in the Library Meeting Room. The event brings crafters, makers, and curious beginners together to exchange supplies, discover new materials, and connect with others who enjoy creating.

Participants are encouraged to bring new or gently used craft supplies, including yarn, fabric, decorative paper, beads, and other crafting materials. Donations may be dropped off in advance at the Springfield Public Library’s front desk through the day of the event.

No supplies to share? No problem! Community members are welcome to attend, browse the available materials, and take home supplies even if they do not bring anything to exchange.

Any supplies remaining after the swap will be donated to library programs and MECCA in Eugene, extending their usefulness and supporting creative opportunities beyond the event.
