Congratulations to our newest Leadership Eugene Springfield cohort! Over the next 8 months, these 29 leaders will learn to advocate for and represent the Springfield/Eugene community as a whole, value the interaction of government, business and charitable institutions in creating a healthy economy, and be involved in creating a positive future for their community.

Kristen Bartels
Kristen Bartels is the Managing Partner of Team Recycle LLC, a recycling consulting firm, and the Community Engagement Coordinator at Relief Nursery, a local child abuse prevention nonprofit. Kristen is an avid west coast swing dancer and enjoys experiencing the local eateries and events our area has to offer. Her hope is to continue to grow her understanding of local resources, as well as her network of people and information to maximize the impact of the work she has dedicated her life to through the LES program.
Jaime Buenaño
Jaime Buenaño is currently a Senior Information Technology Advisor for Partnered Solutions IT. Jaime searches for qualified candidates that require network management and utilizes his technical resources to provide solutions and oversee their implementation. Although newer to the industry, his skills in the tech sector are growing rapidly through experience and the deep empathy he has for the clients he represents. Jaime sees client-relationship management as his opportunity to shine. A Las Vegas native, Jaime is now a 23-year Eugene resident and sees nothing but opportunity here. He actively participates in community-minded forums such as Chamber and local non-profit events.
Megan Burrows
Megan graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Oregon. She has been with Umpqua Bank in Eugene for 11 years working in commercial banking, starting as a credit analyst and growing into her current role as a Commercial Relationship Manager. She is involved locally with Junior Achievement presenting programs in local classrooms for the past 5 years and has recently joined the local Advisory Board for the organization. She is happily married with two young children that are helping to get her more involved in the community in new and fun ways. She is a casual runner and an avid reader. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the pacific northwest most commonly camping, hiking and searching out great food with her family.
Garrett Castle
My name is Garrett Castle and I work Chambers Construction as a Project Engineer and Estimator. My previous positions include working as a civil engineer inspector for AKS Engineering in Portland, Oregon as well as working for a local general contractor in Eugene for nearly seven years after graduating from Churchill High School. After moving to the Portland area from Eugene, I became a volunteer firefighter for multiple years with Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue as well. Having recently moved back to Eugene with my wife to establish our new family, I’m looking forward to getting involved in the local community again.
Charlie Clark
I am a husband, father, son, employee, and volunteer. I enjoy time with my wife and three kids, camping, traveling and attending various local events. I work as a Drafting Lead at 9Wood and I am an Outreach Coordinator for Stand for Children, where I coordinate a parent group at Springfield High School. My passion is education within our community. I hope to help students by fortifying their love of learning at a young age so they enjoy school and graduate from high school. I plan on taking my leadership skills and applying them to areas to increase childrens’ love of learning. One of my dreams is to help establish a CTE high school in our area. With the help of a supportive community and the need for skilled trades workers, I hope to make this dream a reality.
Heather Crook
Growing up in the coastal town of Yachats, Heather is a true Oregonian. With a degree from OSU in Public Health, Heather has a passion for preventative initiatives and overall wellness of those in her community. With a background working within the healthcare field, she has helped build strategic partnerships with community clinics and outlying hospitals to focus on bridging community gap needs. Heather is currently active in Junior League of Eugene serving on the Community Enrichment committee. She also spends her time supporting Looking Glass, Boys and Girls Club, Relief Nursery, S.A.S.S., The Susan G. Komen foundation, and Woman’s Space. Heather enjoys running and fitness, WCS and salsa dancing, trying new foods and eateries and spending time with her husband and 3 kids.
Emily David
Fueled by nature, community believer, word lover, creative wannabe, wit warrior, striving for simplicity. Hello, I have worked for Springfield Public Library for ten years, the last two as the director of the Library and the Springfield Museum. I believe strongly in the mission of libraries and their ability to strengthen communities. As the director, I lead a very talented and creative group who are also passionate about the work they do. I am the mother of two young adult children and an elderly dog named Marigold. Reading, traveling, dancing and hiking are my favorite time-fillers.
Libby DuFresne
Libby DuFresne is a CPA working for Moss Adams, LLP as a part of the Outsourced Finance and Accounting group. She recently relocated to the Eugene-Springfield area in December 2018 from Santa Rosa, CA where she was an Accounting Supervisor for a large wine company. She is currently a member of the Eugene Active 20-30 Club. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Eugene, doing home projects, baking cookies, and spending time with friends.
Dana Fleming
Dana Fleming has a BA in Art History from Birmingham-Southern College in her home state of Alabama. She has since been involved with non-profits in arts, domestic violence, and education in Alabama, Nevada, and Arkansas. Fleming relocated to Oregon in 2012. She is the Executive Director of the Eugene Education Foundation, and also serves the on the boards of the Lane County Cultural Coalition and ArtCity Oregon, and on Stand for Children’s Strategy Team. Fleming is married with 4 children. When she’s not at work or volunteering, you can find her hiking in the beautiful PNW or thrifting.
Camille Gandolfi
Ms. Gandolfi was born and raised in Lane County and currently resides in Springfield. She holds a psychology degree and plans to continue on to obtain an additional degree in communications. Ms. Gandolfi serves as the Clerk of the Board for LTD where she enjoys improving public transit from the inside out through process and procedure improvement.
Janice Halka
Janice Halka currently volunteers on the Springfield Public Library Foundation Board and the Springfield Leadership Workshop Steering Committee. Previously, Janice worked at Lunar Logic as a Business Analyst. Janice graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Entrepreneurship/Small Business Management with a specialization in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. She also graduated from Oregon State University with a Masters degree in College Student Services Administration and a specialization in Creative Education. Janice is a Ravenclaw, an avid tea drinker, and a big fan of all things chocolate.
Alma Hesus
Although it’s been years since Alma Fumiko Hesus’s childhood on Guam, memories of yearning to see women like her fighting for change remain fresh and poignant. Alma has devoted her career to advocacy and investing in the future of our communities, beginning with a crucial investment in children, and she cherishes her identity as mentor and role model. Alma combines these values with success as a celebrated marketing professional, leading initiatives like rebranding the UO Duck Store and leveraging her skills to drive change on professional boards and in her current role as the Associate Director of Development at United Way.
Joshua Hogan
Joshua Hogan has been the Practice Manager and Mediation Assistant at Hogan Mediation since its launch in 2011. He takes care of the little things that keep settlement negotiations on the track and moving forward. He holds a J.D. and an MBA degree from the University of Oregon. During his time at Hogan Mediation, he has worked on resolving life-changing disputes of all types around the Pacific Northwest and across the nation.
Whitney Hoshaw
Whitney Hoshaw works at OCCU as a Products Marketing Manager to develop, plan and manage marketing campaigns that drive the business forward. Instead of accepting the way things have been, she works to ask questions and to dig into data to inform solutions. Through her career so far, Whitney has been drawn to mission-driven organizations that impact change or build community in some way.
Ellie Johnson
Ellie is an architect with PIVOT Architecture. Her professional portfolio includes a broad range of project types, including non-profit, clinic, higher education, office and tenant improvement projects. She is best described as a critical thinker with a passion for creating inspired environments that have a positive impact on the community. Ellie looks at issues from all angles and has a keen ability to distill complex topics down to their key elements.
Stacy Koos
Originally from Colorado, Stacy moved to Oregon in 1995 after graduating from the University of Northern Colorado. Stacy Koos is Summit Bank’s senior vice president and commercial banking team leader. She oversees all lending activities in Eugene/Springfield. Stacy brings over 23 years of experience in commercial banking, loan portfolio and branch management to Summit Bank. In addition to her profession as a Banker, Stacy is a partner in a family owned business that owns and operates commercial properties.
Stacy has been active in several business and civic organizations. She currently serves as Vice Chair with the Albany Millersburg Economic Development Corporation, Vice Chair on the Samaritan Albany General Hospital Board, member of the Oregon Bankers Association Grassroots Political Committee. Previously she held positions as, Vice Chair of the Albany Public Safety Foundation, Past Chair and Treasurer of the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the Chair of the Finance Committee, member of the Governmental Affairs committee and Chair of the Good Government Council PAC.
Tyler Mack
Tyler Mack is a longtime Eugene community member who graduated from Sheldon High School and the University of Oregon, is currently the Marketing & Development Director at Looking Glass Community Services. Tyler was a journalism major at UO and worked for 15 years in the newspaper industry in Spokane, Washington and Las Vegas before working for several years at the Register-Guard, all in digital marketing leadership roles. Tyler and his wife, Sally, have two beautiful children, Declan, 8, and Emery, 5, and are all avid Duck sports fans.
Todd Mann
Todd Mann was born and raised in Springfield, Oregon. After spending some time abroad, Todd and his wife Kai returned to raise their two children, Lana and Paul, here in Springfield. Todd is currently the owner of Todd Mann Financial Services and serves on the Springfield School Board. Todd is committed to promoting financial literacy and to ending small-business poverty in Lane County.
Max Molzahn
Max came to Oregon as a transplant from the Midwest. Originally from Milwaukee Wisconsin, Max relocated to the area from Des Moines, Iowa. Before his time in Des Moines, Max attended Luther College, graduating with a BA in Anthropology and Environmental Studies. After graduation, Max served in AmeriCorps working on projects in energy efficiency and environmental education. Later, he worked with businesses across Iowa in planning and implementing energy efficiency projects. Learning about each business and helping them succeed was the driving force in Max’s work in the Midwest, and he’s continued with that work at the Chamber in Springfield. Away from the office, Max enjoys running and biking, and going on camping trips with his wife, Logan, and their dog, Arlo.
Hayley Radich
Hayley Radich is the Member Services Manager for Travel Lane County. She joined the staff as an Adventure Specialist in 2013 and moved into the Membership role in 2015. Hayley manages member benefits, trainings and events for Travel Lane County’s 650 members. Hayley is currently an online student through Grand Canyon University. She will graduate in 2020 with her Bachelor’s in Marketing & Advertising. She has served on the planning committee for the Eugene Young Professionals Summit for the past two years – this is a full day conference helping young professionals develop personal goals, professional skills and how to be civically engaged in the community. She was also on the planning committee for MarketFest – a three-day community event at the Fifth Street Public Market that benefits local non-profits. Hayley was born and raised in Springfield, Oregon. She loves kayaking, whitewater rafting and event planning.
Kelly Ranstad
Kelly Ranstad is Co-Owner/Managing Broker at Hybrid Real Estate, Lane Counties largest independent brokerage. She was a 2019 Eugene Chamber 20 under 40 recipient, was awarded finalist for OSU’s Austin Family Business Award and was recognized nationally as a National Association of REALTORS technology Spotlight Finalist. She is currently the Board of Manager’s chair of Oregon Real Estate Forms LLC, serving over 14,000 subscribers. Kelly and her Husband Bryan live in the Ferry Street Bridge Area and have three school aged children attending 4J schools.
Tammy Robinson
Tammy Robinson is the public affairs officer for the Willamette National Forest (WNF) and works to advocate for equitable access and connect communities to their public lands. A member of the Forest Leadership Team, she manages the Public Affairs team and Outdoor Ambassadors Program and is responsible for congressional relations, media relations, and for developing and implementing the overall communication strategy for the WNF. A certified grant writer, Tammy is passionate about working across program areas, schools, community organizations and government entities to accomplish goals. She enjoys spending time with her husband Anthony, church, garage sales, Toastmasters, trivia, and karaoke.
Scott Rogers
Scott was recently hired by the Eugene Science Center as its new Development Director. He is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all of the Eugene Science Center’s fundraising activities, including the major gifts program, annual fund, planned giving, special events and capital campaigns. His goal is to give the people of Lane County a world class science center. He served as Mayor of the City of Charles Town, West Virginia from June 2017-2019. By the end of his service, the City of Charles Town was named the number one place to live, the number two safest city, and a top five city for young families to live in West Virginia.
Tony Rubino
Tony joined Roehl & Yi soon after moving to Eugene early in 2019. He is a registered investment advisor who works primarily with qualified plans, their trustees, participants, and various service providers.
He started his career with Cisco Systems as an account manager working with US government agencies. He then opened his own branch office with Edward Jones as an investment manager in 2007.
In early 2019, Tony and his family decided it was time to relocate and escape the frigid winters of Montana. He and his wife, Jessica, moved to Eugene after visiting with their friends and family who love the Eugene area.
Tony enjoys cooking with his wife, gardening, golfing, hiking, visiting local vineyards, and going to the coast. Tony and Jessica have one daughter, Madison, whom they hope will move to Eugene after graduating college in 2020.
Matt Sorensen
Matt Sorensen is the Executive Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Emerald Valley. Sorensen began his career with B&G Clubs 14 years ago in 2005. For the last 6 years he served as the Executive Director for the B&G Club in Ontario, Oregon. Matt is an avid runner and enjoys singing along with music in his car. He is married to Olivia Sorensen; they have two sons Sawyer (7) and Everett (4) as well as two dogs.
Cheleana Stafflund
Cheleana Stafflund supports the Greater Eugene Region of Columbia Bank as the VP, District Manager. With 16 years of banking experience, Cheleana enjoys immersing herself into the community in which she lives and works via board service, civic leadership, volunteerism and teaching financial literacy to our youth. Cheleana and her family have lived in Eugene for 2 years and she is looking forward to learning more about the Eugene and Springfield communities through the LES program.
Lilly Storment
Lilly Storment was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon. She attended the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon with a concentration in finance. After graduating with her degree in December of 2017, she began working at the commercial real estate firm of Evans, Elder, Brown & Seubert as an administrator. While working there full-time, she studied for and acquired her real estate license. She now works as a broker in the same office in addition to being a member of the Donor Relations Committee at Greenhill Humane Society.
Shelly Williams
Shelly works as the Community Partner Coordinator for the BEST Afterschool Program in Eugene School District 4J. She manages a growing number of partners to provide high-quality enrichment and hands-on learning opportunities for at-risk students. She also engages with community members and organizations for broad awareness and support. Prior to joining 4J, Shelly spent 10 years on staff at Eugene Faith Center, executing communications to reach the congregation and general community. She currently provides leadership to Meadow View School’s Parent Teacher Organization and enjoys being a part of the West Eugene community with her husband and three kids.
Kelly Winberg
A hard-worker and self-starter, Kelly is a master at social media outreach and engagement. Constantly working toward self-improvement, she’s always looking for ways to step out of her comfort zone. She stays on top of changes and trends and the many avenues available to tell client stories through social media. Her extensive marketing and business education, coupled with a savvy sales and account management background, provided a clear path into social media marketing. A Eugene native, Kelly’s love of community is what motivates her to make a positive impact through her work.
