Severe weather = severe crisis for unhoused families. Help Catholic Community Services of Lane County shelter them!

Below freezing temps came early this winter.  As always, Catholic Community Services activated its Cold Weather Shelter program, moving unhoused families off the streets and into the warm and dry shelter of motel rooms. The funding that allows this program to operate comes from a county grant and private donations. Unfortunately, the early start to winter has caused an swift exhaustion of Cold Weather Shelter program funding, and there are still months of winter ahead. Please consider a donation to help extend this safety net of warm hotel rooms for families in need through the coldest nights of winter that lie ahead. A gift of $77 will shelter a small family for one night.

HOW TO HELP:
Online Donations. Our single, unhoused neighbors rely on Catholic Community Services for items such as tents, tarps, sleeping bags, blankets, and ponchos for protection. A gift of $5 to $30 can provide one of these necessary items.

Visit ccslc.org to make an online donation to keep families sheltered during our coldest winter nights and protect our unhoused neighbors from the rain and cold.

CCS Fundraiser at Fisherman’s Market. Thanks to our friends at the Fisherman’s Market in Eugene, on Wednesday, January 18th, 20% of all sales will be donated to Catholic Community Services and used for the Cold Weather Shelter program.  Get your voucher HERE or visit Fisherman’s Market on January 18th and tell them you’re there for the CCS fundraiser!
