Mayor Sean VanGordon to Throw Out First Pitch; Summer Promotions Announced

Springfield Drifters baseball is back and better than ever, kicking off the fourth season at Hamlin Sports Complex on May 30. With a new coaching staff lead by Eugene native Jeff Lyle and a hungry group of young players looking to battle this summer, the Drifters are sure to guarantee some of the best baseball the pacific Northwest has to offer. Opening Night
The City of Springfield and the Springfield Drifters invite the community and local media to Opening Night at the ballpark on Friday, May 30, as the hometown team kicks off another exciting season. This year’s celebration features a full evening of festivities, culminating with Mayor Sean VanGordon throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. Opening Night offers a chance to celebrate what makes Springfield special: connection, tradition, and a shared love of baseball.
