Joint Business After Hours Celebrates FOOD for Lane County’s 40th Anniversary
Last Thursday, the Springfield and Eugene Chambers came together for a special joint Business After Hours at FOOD for Lane County (FFLC) for an evening filled with networking, celebration, and community impact.
With approximately 350 guests in attendance, FFLC’s warehouse floor was packed with members from both Chambers celebrating FFLC’s 40th anniversary and their vital mission to combat hunger and food insecurity in Lane County.
The night was a vibrant mix of new faces and longtime Chamber members, all eager to connect and celebrate FFLC’s incredible work. Speakers at the event included Vonnie Mikkelsen, President and CEO of the Springfield Chamber; Brittany Quick-Warner, President & CEO of the Eugene Chamber; Carolyn Stein, FFLC’s Executive Director; and Billy Phillips, Director of Business Development at Essex General Construction, Inc., the event’s presenting sponsor.
Attendees enjoyed live jazz, refreshments, and appetizers, and an impressive array of beautifully decorated cakes. Adding to the fun was a food-themed photo booth run by local photographer Athena Delene of Delene & Co., where teams and organizations donned playful hats and props and captured memorable moments in homage to FFLC’s mission.
A highlight of the evening was the raffle prize giveaways, culminating in a special door prize drawing, where three lucky winners received coveted tickets to Chef’s Night Out – one of FFLC’s premier fundraising events.
The energy, enthusiasm, and shared commitment to supporting FOOD for Lane County made this joint Business After Hours truly special. The Springfield and Eugene Chambers were grateful to everyone who attended and to FFLC for their decades of service to the community.

Business After Hours is a quarterly event designed to provide a relaxed, informal get-together of Chamber business members after regular business hours. Build new relationships and make new connections with relaxed, professional networking; craft beer, wine and refreshments; and raffle drawings and prizes.
