LCC wins 8 national marketing awards
EUGENE, Ore. – Lane Community College won eight awards at the 36th Annual Higher Education Advertising Awards competition, including five golds, two silvers and a bronze.
There were more than 2,000 entries from more than 1,000 colleges, universities and secondary schools in all 50 states and several foreign countries. Judges included higher ed marketers, advertising creative directors, and marketing and advertising professionals. The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest, oldest and most respected educational advertising awards competition in the country.
The five gold awards recognized excellence for the external publication LANE Magazine; a radio ad series; a television ad series: a total ad campaign; and an online display ad. The silver awards were for COVID marketing, and integrated marketing. The bronze award was for an online display ad.
Lane’s marketing program is directed by Brett Rowlett, director of public affairs and interim director of marketing and creative services. The marketing program works in close partnership with the campus Design and Media Center staffed by graphic design students under the direction of faculty Tom Madison in the media arts department.
