Springfield Chamber Launches Advocacy and Elections Page

Share:

Oregon primaries and local elections are this May, and we believe it is important to keep our members as informed and engaged with local politics as possible. In this spirit, we have launched a new web page where you can check in with our advocacy efforts as well as stay informed on local elections and candidates. We encourage everyone to take a look and stay engaged, and below we have highlighted and explained some of the information found on the page.

Advocacy & Elections
Your Business. Your Community. Your Voice.

Calls to Action –

This section will link to surveys, comment forms, and links to other ways for our members to take action with their local and state elected officials, and in coordination with partner organizations.

Elections Matter –

Local non-partisan elections are a great opportunity to deepen our understanding of each other. While the Chamber will not be making any candidate endorsements, we seek to inform our members and voters by engaging in dialogue with those interested in serving and representing our community. To that end, We invited each candidate running for office in the 2020 primary election (opposed or unopposed) to submit their response to a questionnaire. These questions were formed by the Chamber’s Business Advocacy Council, a diverse group of business and community leaders. The candidate’s responses have been published without edit. View those responses below and more information on local elections on the page.
