The Lane Events Center (LEC) is a cornerstone of the local community, bringing people together for events, programs, and celebrations while supporting local businesses and the regional economy. Now, the Lane Events Center is asking: What comes next?

The next phase of the LEC Master Plan focuses on creating a shared vision for the next 10 to 20 years. Through surveys, public meetings, and the LEC Visioning Workgroup, the Lane Events Center is listening to what matters most to the community. From honoring cherished traditions to exploring bold new ideas, they’re asking the community to help them create a vision for the future of the LEC.

What is the Master Plan?
The Master Plan is a comprehensive, long-term planning document that provides a strategic framework for the development, improvement, and management of the LEC. An updated master plan will help guide investment in the property and help LEC prioritize infrastructure updates.

This plan will support the LEC as it continues to grow and adapt, serving as a hub for events, programs and emergency services that reflect the evolving needs and priorities of our community.

About the Lane Events Center
The Lane Event Center (LEC) is a multi-purpose facility on a 52-acre site near downtown Eugene with indoor and outdoor spaces, including a 100,000-sq.-ft. convention center, 18 rentable spaces and facilities, and 20 acres of outdoor event space. The center hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including the Lane County Fair, trade shows, concerts, sporting events, community festivals, and educational programs. In a typical year, the center accommodates up to 1,250 event days, drawing approximately 785,000 visitors. The LEC serves a diverse range of customers, including businesses, nonprofit organizations, private event organizers, and the local and regional community. The LEC operates on an annual budget of approximately $5.5 million, with revenue generated from event rentals, concessions, and sponsorships. LEC is an enterprise fund and must generate revenue independently, without assistance from the General Fund. The LEC is also supported by Lane County’s Transient Lodging Tax (TLT). Collected from hotels and short-term rentals, the tax helps support tourism-related facilities and services. The LEC is operated by Lane County Public Works.
