The Willamalane budget committee plays an essential role in providing exceptional parks and recreation to the Springfield community. The committee is comprised of the district board members and an equal number of citizens. Each year, the budget committee studies the proposed budget and makes recommendation to the Willamalane Board of Directors about revenues and expenditures.

Willamalane is now seeking applicants to join the committee for the upcoming budget season. The ideal candidate will have a financial or budgetary background, who may have insight into city, county, or special district budgeting. Willamalane does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, race, color, political affiliation, or mental or physical disabilities. Willamalane encourages applicants representative of the area’s wealth of diverse backgrounds.

This opportunity is a great way to get involved, apply specialized skill sets, and make a difference in the local community. Many Willamalane Board Members first served as budget committee members.

Applicants must live within the district’s boundaries. View the district map to determine if you live within district.

The five positions are for a three-year term. The successful candidates will be appointed by the board. Weekly evening meetings are set to begin in mid-May and may extend through the end of the month.
