Meet Phil Morton, Our New Member Relations & Events Coordinator

Phil is here to ensure the best possible member experience. Phil will be on point to coordinate quality member and member prospect experiences, will build strong relations with businesses, and will provide support to high value and member-driven programs and events. Phil has a background in B2B and B2C sales, client relations, creative project management, and marketing. He also brings great communication skills and a heartfelt enthusiasm for our mission and values. Phil previously worked as talent recruiter and video production manager for a Beaverton-based safety company and most recently as a project manager for Eugene-based Imagination International, Inc. Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon. Outside of work, Phil enjoys backpacking, writing, rock-hounding, wood working, gardening and playing music.


Meet Danielle (Dani) Thompson, Our New Economic Development Specialist

Born and raised in Eugene, OR, Danielle brings with her, a B.A. from the University of Oregon in General Social Science with a concentration in applied Economics, Business, and Society; and a minor in Nonprofit Administration. Danielle comes to the Chamber after spending 5 years at the nonprofit organization, Rural Development Initiatives, where she most recently worked as an Outreach and Program Coordinator. Along with her knowledge of community development, Danielle holds a true passion for donor development and fundraising, and spends much of her free time utilizing that passion as she volunteers for Children’s Miracle Network. Danielle also loves spending as much time outside as possible with her husband, as well as trying out the wonderful food that Eugene and Springfield have to offer. 


Max Molzahn Promoted to Membership Development Manager

Max came on as Member Relations Coordinator in August of last year, and has proven to be a quick study and a strong relational manager of our highly diverse member community. In this role as Membership Development Manager, Max will supervise the total member experience. That means maintaining strong relations and connections within the business community, designing programs of high value to members, and managing the Chamber’s growing network of business development resources. Max is committed to the delivery on the Chamber promise to strengthen, represent, and promote business and is staff liaison to key committees for business advocacy, membership development, and B2B networking. 


Paige Sharpe Promoted to Director of Development and Talent Initiatives

As Director of Development and Talent Initiatives, Paige will oversee the implementation of both local and regional talent development initiatives, and the non-dues revenues, strategic partnerships, and member engagement required for their successful delivery. The Chamber’s economic development priority for workforce readiness and professional leadership development is of high value to our business community. Under our “Cultivate Talent” vision we continue to develop a balanced portfolio of programs, services, and engagement opportunities. Paige has earned this promotion by demonstrating professionalism, effectiveness, and exceptional growth in her two previous roles – first as our Program Coordinator and most recently as our Program Manager.
