Springfield Rotary to Hold “Roaring 20s Gala” Annual Dinner Auction on March 2

The Springfield Rotary is calling attention to all business owners to save the date – on March 2, 2024, their Roaring 20s Gala will be a celebration of the “good works” the club has done for the community, while funds raised will help continue their projects in Springfield and beyond. Individual tickets are $100; tables of eight are also available. Your presence will make a positive impact on the event.

As their International President, Gordon R. Mcinally, says, “Rotary creates hope in the world.” Locally, Springfield Rotary has spent half a million dollars to provide many benefits for the community. Some of these include: meals for hungry kids; gifted books and dictionaries to school-aged children; mentorships at Springfield High School; and college scholarships to local high school seniors. In addition, their efforts have supported the Relief Nursery, Habitat for Humanity, the Ebbert Memorial Community House, Willamalane, and Laurel Grove Cemetery, among others, with both financial assistance and hands-on work. Globally, they have helped build toilets in India, established a clean-stove manufacturing facility in Guatemala, provided clean water in Ghana, and provided early childhood education in South Africa. Since 1985, Rotary has led the charge to eradicate polio from the planet. As they say, “We are this close.” They serve those in need and help create a better place for families. “It takes a village.”

Rotarians know schedules do not always align. If you cannot join them, they hope you will consider a contribution to Springfield Rotary to help them continue the good work they do for the people of Springfield. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated, and you will be mentioned as a contributor in several local publications. There are opportunities to donate an auction package, purchase raffle tickets, provide sponsorship, or simply make a donation.

The dinner auction will be held at the Ford Alumni Center on Saturday, March 2, 5:00 to 9:00pm. A wonderful venue with convenient parking will serve as our palette to celebrate this bygone era; an exciting time to be alive. It will be glorious. Springfield Rotary looks forward to participation from the business community for this special evening of fun and purpose.
