Help and Hope Hour: Tours at CCS return to in-person events

In 2020, Catholic Community Services closed its doors to the general public so that the organization could focus its energy and resources on continuing to provide support to the most vulnerable in our community in a safe and healthy way.  This meant eliminating events like the Help and Hope Hour (aka: kNOw Poverty Hour in other years).  In 2021, like most organizations, we brought back Help and Hope Hours virtually through Zoom.  These gatherings were effective, but nowhere near the personal experience of hearing inspiring stories in person and touring the buildings.

CCS is thrilled to announce that starting in July, Help and Hope Hours will return to in-person gatherings. For the next few months, we will limit attendance to 10 guests at each gathering and provide socially distanced seating and tours. Safety is still our concern, but are ready to star welcoming new friends into the building. This one hour free event will include stories of clients past and present, and you’ll hear the perspectives of CCS staff and volunteers who work with them.  You will leave the tour with a greater sense of our mission and relationship to the community.

Join us at our Springfield location on Wednesday July 21st from 5pm to 6pm.  RSVP at ccslc.org/hhh where you will find a full list of dates, times, and locations.  When you attend a Help and Hope Hour, you will be informed and inspired, but we promise you won’t be asked for money!
