The Chamber is initiating a number of measures informed and guided by today’s COVID-19 risk mitigation announcements from the Governor’s office and through local health and government agencies. We know there is a degree of uncertainty, and understand there to be an impact on our businesses, and on our community. Many of you have reached out with support and resources to the Chamber and to our community at large. Thank you. This and other closely coordinated local agency efforts are a sign that we are united in working together and working through the days and weeks ahead.

In an effort to support your ability to navigate through immediate, evolving, and near future impacts, the Chamber is and will be working closely with City, County, and State agencies. We are doing everything we can to effectively anticipate, respond, and advocate for resources; particularly those that will help mitigate these impacts. Your patience, informed decisions, expertise, and support to our community at large in the coming weeks will be important, and welcome.

At this time, we’re announcing the cancellation of the following Chamber sponsored events, meetings, and gatherings:

Business After Hours, Thursday, March 12
Middle School Career Day, Tuesday, April 7
Springfield Greeters Meetings, Thursday, March 19, 26, & April 2
Hanson Insurance Company Ribbon Cutting, Thursday, April 9

I encourage you to reach out to your Chamber team as a resource and to watch for notices and resources in our e-news bulletins, on our website and on the Springfield Bottom Line news. The Springfield Chamber Business and Visitors Center will remain open during standard operating hours, and pending any further notice:
