Launch Party & Artist Signing for Springfield Oregon Retro Art Series at the Adventure Center in Springfield

The City of Springfield and Travel Lane County are pleased to host a launch party and artist signing on Thursday, December 12 for the new Springfield Oregon Retro Art Series. The event celebrates Springfield with one-of-a-kind limited edition posters for sale, an appearance and signing by the artist, music, complimentary wine tastings, and a 20 percent discount on locally made products just in time for the holidays. It will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the Eugene, Cascades & Coast Adventure Center at 3312 Gateway Street in Springfield. Wine tastings will be provided by Deové Wines, a small artisanal wine company.
The City has been working with local graphic designer Chloe Bradford to develop the Springfield Oregon Retro Art Series. The series features unique Springfield destinations such as the Springfield Flame, the Oregon Women Veterans Sculpture, and the Ken Kesey Mural in Downtown Springfield. The first product in the series is 11 x 17-inch posters, perfect for framing and gift giving. Posters will be available for sale at the event for $15 each and $40 for a set of three. This special event offers the only opportunity for our community members and guests to purchase posters signed by the artist.
Starting on Friday, December 13, the Springfield Museum will also have a limited amount of posters available for sale during regular business hours. The Museum is located at 590 Main Street in Springfield.
Proceeds from the sale of this series will allow the City to help support future public art projects in Springfield, Oregon. It also provides visitors and residents alike with a beautiful keepsake of their time in Springfield.

It is also part of the City Council’s goal to promote and enhance Springfield’s hometown feel while focusing on livability and environmental quality.
