We recently got the chance to do an interview with one of our newest members, Amy Nelson with ICON Real Estate. We asked how she got her start, how to navigate any circumstance around buying and selling houses, and how to reach her – check it out!

What got you into the Real Estate field?

I had been interested in real estate for many years before I pursued it professionally. Going to open houses was a weekly pass time for me and my husband. Then one day, I had a friend in real estate who let me know her office needed extra support, and I jumped on the opportunity. What started as an office gig quickly turned into much more. I became a licensed real estate agent in 2017, and since then, I have helped hundreds of clients buy and sell homes in Lane County.

ICON Real Estate Group is a locally owned company who only takes on experienced agents. We are a group of well trained and skilled agents. The owner, Joe Williams, is amazing at being a responsive wealth of resources when we need a little extra support.

I specialize in all kinds of residential real estate from starter homes in town to large homes on country acreage. I can help you navigate any type of circumstance including the exciting time of purchasing your first home, the adventure of upgrading or downsizing, or the heartache of preparing and selling the estate of a lost loved one. As well as everything in between.

Before working in real estate, I was an educator. This background makes me the perfect fit for guiding clients through the complicated process of real estate. I am able to teach clients about each step of the process so they are never left in the dark or uncertain of what comes next in their transaction. I take pride in keeping open, honest, and regular communication with all of my clients. One thing you will get with me is a personal relationship. In the end, that goes a long way.

When not working, I enjoy dancing, traveling with my incredible husband, hosting social events with friends, visiting with family, and cuddling with my dog at home.
