Mikkelsen appointed to Governor’s Wildfire Economic Recovery Council

Springfield Chamber President and CEO Vonnie Mikkelsen, also current Board Chair for the Oregon State Chamber of Commerce, has been named a member of the Governor’s Wildfire Economic Recovery Council. Mikkelsen will serve as statewide business representative on the Council.

The Wildfire Economic Recovery Council has been established to evaluate the economic and community needs of Oregonians statewide as a result of the 2020 wildfire season. The Council, co-chaired by Labor Commissioner Val Hoyle and State Treasurer Tobias Read, will work to help counties implement economic recovery solutions, bringing together federal, state, and local resources to support communities impacted by wildfires.
