July Issue: Summer in the South Willamette Valley
Summer has officially started on Friday June 21st 2019, marked by the summer solstice, which is the longest day and shortest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. This means it is now the perfect time to come out and enjoy the warm weather with a wealth of activities that will encourage you to step outside with family and friends off from school for summer vacation. Whether it be outdoor musical festivals, county fairs, or escaping the heat with indoor activities and restaurants, prepare to take your calendars out for marking as we inform you of why you should consider a summer “stay-cation” here in Springfield, Oregon!
For the month of July, we are focusing on Summer in the South Willamette Valley, which includes Benton, Douglas, Lane, and Linn Counties. We will be highlighting tourism in the area, with insight on trends in the food and beverage sector, recreational opportunities, sporting events, and other summer activities with a fun selection of “Staff Picks”!
