Sounds Like Summer Concert Series at Island Park this July
Admission is free with a non-perishable food donation
Willamalane Park and Recreation District is holding its annual Sounds Like Summer Concert Series on Wednesday evenings throughout July at Island Park, 200 West B Street. Enjoy local music performances, browse an art show and handcrafted artisan goods, and sip a beverage from the traveling bar.
Concerts run from 6:30-8 p.m. each Wednesday in July. Seating and concessions begin at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free with a non-perishable food donation. Food donations will benefit the food pantry at Willamalane Adult Activity Center and Willamalane’s Little Free Pantries around Springfield.
Each week has a special theme! This week’s event on Wednesday, July 13, features Son De Cuba and will fill the park with modern and classic Latin American songs. The event will also feature Latin food, music, and vendors.
Next week, on Wednesday, July 20, Candy Apple Bleu is headlining the biggest concert of the summer as we invite a global community to the park during the Oregon22 World Championships. This is a free community event that is being put on with support from Willamalane, the City of Springfield, Springfield Public Schools, and Springfield Utility Board.
Sounds Like Summer is presented by Northwest Community Credit Union. For a complete list of concerts, concessions, and more details, visit willamalane.org/sounds.
