Join the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce and the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Friday, November 20th, for LunchVox LIVE: Return to Work – the Childcare Dilemma.

Friday, November 20th, 2020
11:45am – 1:00pm PST

About the Program

Childcare challenges, already persistent and complex, have been further complicated by the COVID-19 public health crisis. Parents are trying to balance childcare, comprehensive distance learning, and work, childcare providers are trying to stay open or re-open with decreased capacity and increased operational costs, and employers are trying to determine how and when their working parents can return to work. By understanding the diverse perspectives of those impacted, we can begin to identify solutions to recover together.

Julia Barfield, senior manager of policy and programs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, will lead Friday’s discussion on childcare and the return to work. We will also be joined by Noah Vanhorn, School Psychologist and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coach with Springfield Public Schools. Noah will share his experience working with instructors and students this past year as curriculums have shifted to a comprehensive distance learning model.
