Kendall Auto Group Supports Local Students with Close the Divide Program

(Eugene, OR) – Kendall Auto Group announced today that it will be kicking off the new school year with their Close the Divide Lane County Program. Many students across the county are without high speed internet, posing a potential threat that can leave them disconnected and behind this school year. The Close the Divide Lane County campaign aims to minimize that impact. Kendall has partnered with local education foundations and organizations to close the digital divide in Lane County by donating supplies and funding Wi-Fi for student households who otherwise would not have it.

Local residents are encouraged to donate new, un-opened school supplies or headphones and monetary donations that will go toward the purchase of additional supplies and Wi-Fi at Kendall dealerships. For every dollar donated to this campaign, Kendall will match it dollar for dollar up to $15,000. All donations will directly, and positively, impact students in Lane County.

“No child should be left behind this year because of lack of access to Wi-Fi or school supplies,” said Kendall Auto Group president Dave Blewett. “We’re very excited that we are able to partner with local community organizations to make an impact and close the digital divide in Lane County.”

“No child should be left behind this year because of lack of access to Wi-Fi or school supplies.”

Donations can be dropped off at any Kendall Eugene dealership during business hours from now until September 22, or donations can be purchased on the Lane County Close the Divide Amazon Wish List.
