A community initiative to teach bicycle riding skills

Learn to Ride is a free community event that aims to get kids and community members comfortable on bikes, so they can use them as a reliable form of transportation. All equipment will be provided, and participants will have the chance to win a free helmet. Event partners are WillamalaneSafe Routes to School, Springfield Public Schools, Bethel School District, City of Eugene, Eugene School District 4J, Lane Council of Governments, and Shift Community Cycles.

Date: Thursday, March 9th, 4-6 p.m.
Location: Bob Keefer Center

“We’re thrilled to be offering this opportunity for the community to learn how to ride a bike and get active in a fun and safe environment,” said Adam Martell, Willamalane recreation supervisor. “Cycling is not only a fun form of exercise, but it’s also a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and explore the community in a new way.”
