Springfield Public Library Hosts Teen Summer Opportunities Fair

Teens looking to make the most of their summer are invited to the Teen Summer Opportunities Fair on Saturday, May 10, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Springfield Public Library. This free, drop-in event is open to all youth ages 12 and up from across the region, regardless of residency.
Local organizations will be on hand with information about volunteer roles, job openings, camps, internships, and other engaging summer programs. From meaningful work experience to creative play and community service, teens will discover a range of options to spark their interests and build skills for the future.
“This is the time of year when teens start planning their summers – whether it’s getting a job, volunteering, or joining a program. We’ve been proud to host a volunteer fair for years. This year, we’re expanding it to include even more ways teens can get involved, learn, and grow.”
– Cara Kinsey, Teen and Young Adult Services Librarian, Springfield Public Library
