Kendall Cares recent campaign, Close the Divide, raise a total of $15,000 for students in Lane County.
EUGENE, Ore. – Kendall Auto Oregon partnered with Eugene Emeralds,
Heritage Distillery and Funk/Levis & Associates to raise money and school
supplies for students affected by COVID-19 in Lane County.
Due to the pandemic, students and teachers have a massive educational challenge looming. In response, Kendall Cares launched the Close the Divide campaign, aimed at closing the digital divide and setting teachers and students up for success.
The campaign initiative included donation drop-offs at all Kendell Eugene
dealerships. Kendall Cares requested new-unopened school supplies, headphones and monetary donations to go toward the purchasing of supplies and setting up WIFI for students. Additionally, Kendall Cares matched every donation up to $15,000 made to the Close the Divide Lane County Fund.
With Kendall’s partners, Eugene Emeralds, Heritage Distillery and Funk/Levis, Kendall Cares hosted multiple Stuff the Trunk Events in Eugene, OR. Each event collected household necessities and supplies that were requested by families affected by these uncertain times.
In total, Kendall Cares raised $15,000 for Springfield, 4J, and Bethel school districts and ensured that no child would be left behind.
