Willamalane’s Splash! Swim Center Has Reopened!

On September 1st, 2020, Willamalane’s swim center Splash! at Lively Park (6100 Thurston Rd, Springfield) reopened to the public. 

Things will look different at Splash!, but the pool will still cater to families. Splash! will offer limited capacity afternoon family swims and kiddie pools swims instead of traditional rec swims. The large water slide will be available, but the wave features will be unavailable for now. 

“We had to evaluate what we could safely offer,” said Brandon Lemcke, Willamalane Aquatics Program Manager. “We’re proud to have developed programs that would allow for families to have fun while safely enjoying our pools again.” 

Willamalane reopened its other aquatic facility, Willamalane Park Swim Center, in June. Local community members can get back in the pools, both for fun and for exercise, with safety precautions that follow all current guidelines. 

“We’re still meeting and exceeding the health guidelines that have been put in place. We see Splash!’s reopening as an opportunity to increase access for patrons to exercise and enjoy the water,” says Lemcke. 

Swimmers interested in exercise can sign up for morning exercise on your own or lap swim. The lap pool will be open all day for lap swimmers.

Facility hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
