7:30 – 8:30 AM Check-in and Set Up
8:30 – 8:55 AM Welcome Orientation
9:00 – 9:50 AM Agnes Stewart Middle School
9:50 – 10:00 AM Break
10:00 – 10: 50 AM Briggs Middle School
10:50 – 11:00 AM Break
11:00 – 11:50 AM Thurston Middle School
11:50 – 12:00 AM Break
12:00– 12:50 PM Hamlin Middle School
This is your chance to influence the future, as we will be expecting nearly 800 8th grade students from Agnes Stewart, Briggs, Hamlin, and Thurston Middle Schools.
Business booths help 8th graders glean an overview of career opportunities and what might be available to prepare them while in high school for post education.
Alternately, as a mock interviewer, your role is to give the students constructive feedback concerning what they can do to improve upon their interview skills. For example, encouraging them to give a firm handshake or make eye contact, and helping them to understand how they can relate their personal skills and work experience to career objectives.
