Community Input Sought for Development Code Update Project
The City of Springfield is seeking community input on proposed changes to the Springfield Development Code to help meet housing and economic development needs in the near future and beyond. A virtual open house and community survey have been launched seeking community feedback on the proposed changes.
Community members are encouraged to visit the project webpage at http://bit.ly/DevCodeUpdate to view the virtual open house, then complete the community survey. The survey questions are mostly multiple-choice questions and should only take about 10 minutes to complete. The virtual open house and survey are open now through August 31, 2021.
This broader community engagement is for Phase 1 – Housing and Phase 2 – Employment Lands of the Development Code Update Project. The virtual open house with the survey is the primary way community input is being sought. Community members can help ensure that the significant changes proposed to the Springfield Development Code are easy to understand, more streamlined, and support development.
