Voluntary visitation restrictions in effect at PeaceHealth Oregon hospitals and clinics
Springfield, OR– To protect the health of our patients and caregivers as the number of confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases increases in the Northwest, PeaceHealth has implemented voluntary visitation restrictions at our Oregon hospitals and clinics.
Visitors: PeaceHealth requests that visitors with fever or upper-respiratory infection symptoms such as coughing or sneezing, refrain from visiting patients in our Oregon hospitals or accompanying patients to our clinics. These restrictions will remain in place until further notice.
Patients: PeaceHealth asks that patients call ahead before arriving at any PeaceHealth facility if they meet both of the following:
- Have recently traveled outside the United States or have been in contact with a person known to have COVID-19 AND
- Have symptoms including fever or upper respiratory infection symptoms (i.e. cough).
This allows us to create a care plan that ensures the safety of our patients and caregivers.
Our clinics may be experiencing higher than usual call volumes. Patients who are experiencing a medical emergency should call 911.
Thank you for your help in keeping our patients, visitors and caregivers safe and healthy.
