Upcoming Springfield Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee Special Meeting

The Springfield Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) will convene on Tuesday, September 8 from 5:30 to 7:00pm for a special meeting. This meeting provides an opportunity for voting members of the committee to engage in discussions about bicycle and pedestrian issues within the city.

Committee members and members of the community can attend the meeting either in person at Springfield City Hall’s City Council Chambers, virtually via Zoom, or by phone.

In efforts to be inclusive, the meeting location is fully accessible to persons with disabilities. Those requiring an interpreter for the hearing impaired or other accommodations should email or call Emma Newman prior to the meeting. Background
The Springfield Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, established in 2011, is a volunteer group that advises the Springfield City Council, Springfield Planning Commission, and city staff on bicycle and pedestrian matters. The committee comprises nine voting members and four ex-officio liaisons who meet bimonthly or as needed. Recruitment for new committee members typically occurs in autumn.
