Tell us a little about Rise & Shine Social Enterprise
Rise & Shine Social Enterprise provides person-centered support services for adults experiencing disabilities throughout Lane County. With a focus on dignity, independence, and community connection, Rise & Shine offers a range of services including 24/7 residential group homes, supported living, in-home care, day activities and employment programs designed to help individuals live fulfilling, meaningful lives.

How did you get started in your industry?
The organization was born from a deeply personal beginning. Founder Cindy Koza discovered her passion for caregiving in 2017 while supporting a friend with disabilities in her home. What started as a single licensed foster care home quickly grew into multiple homes, especially as the need for compassionate, high-quality care became even more evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, Rise & Shine continues to expand its impact by offering diverse programs that meet people where they are and support their individual goals.
