Credit union recognized nationally for marketing excellence, including “Category’s Best” honor for its public relations campaign promoting SELCO Steps Up.

SELCO Community Credit Union was recently selected for two 2026 Diamond Awards for excellence in credit union marketing, including a “Category’s Best” honor for Public Relations Campaigns.

SELCO was recognized in the following categories:
• Complete Campaign, for its “Better Banking” marketing campaign
• Public Relations Campaign, for its PR supporting its SELCO Steps Up initiatives

Presented by America’s Credit Unions Marketing, PR & Development Council, the annual Diamond Awards celebrate the most creative and successful campaigns across the credit union industry. This year’s competition drew a record 1,481 submissions, with 181 organizations from 42 states selected as winners. SELCO was one of five Oregon credit unions to receive an award.

For its public relations work on SELCO Steps Up, the credit union received an additional distinction: “Category’s Best.”

SELCO’s award-winning campaigns highlight its commitment to meeting members where they are, in both the digital and community spaces. Its Better Banking campaign focused on how its digital banking platform naturally supports real moments. Meanwhile, the Steps Up PR campaign introduced SELCO’s new statewide, employee-powered philanthropic model that elevates educator voices, supports nonprofits, and expands opportunities for Oregon students, all while fostering community participation.

“We’re proud to recognize SELCO Community Credit Union and this year’s Diamond Award winners for their entries that deliver both creativity and results,” said Lorrell Bellotti, Diamond Awards Co-chair and Chief Marketing Officer at Western Vista FCU in Cheyenne, Wyoming. “These entries demonstrate an understanding of the people we serve and strategic execution that delivers measurable impact.”

The Diamond Awards have recognized excellence in credit union marketing for more than 25 years and remain one of the industry’s most prestigious honors. For a comprehensive list of this year’s winners, click HERE. For images of the Diamond Awards ceremony in Aurora, Colorado, click HERE.
