OnPoint Community Credit Union donates $7,500 to United Way of Lane County

OnPoint Community Credit Union donated $7,500 to United Way of Lane County to support its work serving children and families throughout the region.

United Way of Lane County brings local organizations and resources together to address the needs of children and families. Its work focuses on healthy communities, youth opportunities, and community resiliency.

OnPoint’s support helps United Way continue investing in local programs and partnerships that support communities across Lane County.

About OnPoint Community Credit Union
In 1932, 16 schoolteachers got together to create a safe place to save their money and provide low-cost loans to other teachers and their families. They named it Portland Teachers Credit Union. As the community grew, the credit union grew right along with it. In 2005, they were granted a community charter in Oregon and Southwest Washington, allowing them to expand our field of membership. To reflect this growth, they changed their name to OnPoint Community Credit Union.

OnPoint has been improving the lives of members and the communities we serve — including Portland, Vancouver, Eugene and Bend — for 90 years. In that time, they’ve grown to be the largest member-owned financial institution headquartered in Oregon with more than 671,751 loyal members.
