OCCU celebrates 70th anniversary by asking members to help shape its next chapter of giving

OCCU | Oregon Community Credit Union is marking its 70th anniversary with a summer-long campaign, 70 Days of Giving.

When OCCU first opened its doors in 1956 as U Lane O Credit Union, they were just a group of community members pooling money together in a shoebox. They had one simple idea; to foster community. Seven decades later and that same idea drives everything OCCU does. 

It’s that same history that inspired 70 Days of Giving, a branch-led effort to champion a community-wide act of gratitude. Here’s how it works. 

Every OCCU branch is making a special effort to give back in new and unique ways that benefit their communities. OCCU branches decorated and offered snacks and drinks to members.
