The City of Springfield invites community members to join Mayor Sean VanGordon at the annual State of the City Address, a celebration of Springfield’s accomplishments and a look forward at its future.

The event will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Richard E. Wildish Community Theater, located at 630 Main Street in Downtown Springfield.

Event highlights:

  • Hear Mayor VanGordon reflect on 2025 achievements and share key priorities for 2026
  • Watch video presentations from City Councilors showcasing exciting updates and developments in their wards
  • Enjoy live music and light refreshments

This event is free and open to all. Doors will open at 5:00 PM, with the presentation beginning at 5:30 PM, followed by refreshments and conversation at 6:30 PM.
