Willamalane’s summer concert series is back at Island Park (200 West B Street, Springfield). This year, the concerts are held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, starting July 16.

Admission is $3 or free with a non-perishable food donation. The gates and concessions open at 5:30 p.m. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. Each evening features two sets with the same band, separated by a 20-minute intermission.

The full schedule is as follows:

  • July 16: Connectarine, a female‑fronted Americana-rock ensemble delivering richly layered harmonies and intricate string textures, perfect for a summer evening.
  • July 17: Rock n Rewind, a high‑energy classic rock and blues party band that brings ’60s–’70s rock vibes to life.
  • July 23: Natsukashii Soul, a neo‑soul, funk, and acid‑jazz quintet known for soulful grooves and nostalgic vibes.
  • July 24: The Koz, a five‑piece classic rock revival outfit specializing in arena-style rock from the ’70s through the ’90s.
  • July 30: Left on Wilson, a psychedelic jam-rock group blending funk, blues, and dance‑driven grooves.
  • July 31: Candy Apple Bleu, a smooth, soft‑rock/yacht‑rock band serving up laid‑back, melodic hits from the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Major construction on Mill Street may affect your route to the park. To get to Island Park, use the West D Street entrance via Water Street. The B Street entrance will be closed this year. An attached map shows recommended routes. The South A Street entrance (boat ramp side) is also available for pedestrian access or accessible parking.

Here are some other tips for alternative transportation options:

  • Ride the Bus: Take the bus to Springfield Station and walk to Island Park. Find each concert’s free benefit code on the concert event page on our website, willamalane.org/concerts.
  • Ride Your Bike: The City of Springfield is hosting a free bike valet at the D St entrance to the park from 5:30 to 9 p.m. to keep your bike safe during the event.

Bring along blankets or chairs to enjoy the music. You can purchase beer, wine, and concessions, or bring your own picnic dinner and sealed non-alcoholic beverages.

The Concerts in the Park series is presented by Northwest Community Credit Union. For a complete list of concerts, concessions, and other details, visit willamalane.org/concerts.
