Christy Albin is an Oregon notary public and loan signing agent with Legal Eagles of the Lake, a mobile notary service for trust/estate, loan signing, and general notary work. We sat down with Christy to find out more about her company’s story and the important business services they provide.

Tell us a little about Legal Eagles of the Lake.
Legal Eagles of the Lake is an experienced collaboration between the Lady of the Lake (est. 2012 by Christy Albin) and Eagle Mobile Notary (est. 2021 by Henry “Butch” Grambusch). I am a full-time Oregon notary since 2012 for GNW (general notary work) and an NNA NSA (National Notary Association notary loan signing agent) since 2020, having served Central-Lane, Linn, and Benton counties.

What services do you offer and what makes Legal Eagles of the Lake different?
I am experienced with all types of document packages, including buyers, sellers, refinance, and HELOCs, as well as estate forms such as power-of-attorney forms, wills, trusts, and advance healthcare directives. I am known for accuracy, professionalism, and client-centered service. I have certified training with both NNA and Loan Signing System, with ongoing monthly LSS membership for continuing education. Additionally, I am an active member of my local Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.

What challenges did you face on your way to success?
In 2020, when I was already thriving with Lady of the Lake, I was diagnosed with bilateral osteoarthritis, which was debilitating. Keeping the business afloat while I was in so much pain was difficult, but with help I was able to bounce back and have continued success. [Read the full comeback story here.]

What do you like most about your work?
What I enjoy the most about being a mobile notary is the variety of people and settings I encounter. I might start the day helping a couple with a refinance in their home and later assist a senior in a retirement community who needs a POA or advance healthcare directive. The most challenging aspect is balancing efficiency with precision. My goal is to provide an accurate and positive signing experience that reflects well on the hiring company that has placed their confidence in me.

Anything else you’d like to share?
I combine professionalism, accuracy, and flexibility. I am punctual, detail-oriented, and respectful of the signer’s time. My background in general notary work and loan signings provides a strong foundation for handling complex transactions. I am quick to respond in collaboration with title companies and law firms to deliver error-free documents on time. My clients can expect me to consistently represent them with the excellence their customers are expecting.
