The Miliare Group helps people make informed financial decisions by connecting them with licensed professionals who prioritize education, transparency, and their unique situations, providing clarity for life’s most important financial choices. We sat down with Serena Sevits, Financial Strategist and Marketing Director, to find out more about the company.

Tell us a little about The Miliare Group.
The Miliare Group operates from a key fundamental belief – everyone deserves to have access to financial strategies and education to help them achieve financial peace of mind. Our mission statement is “No family left behind,” which encompasses the family-first values that I am honored to be a part of. We are a licensed, full-service financial agency affiliated with World Financial Group, partnered with Transamerica Financial Advisors, and backed by the global company Aegon. Our team is comprised of independent financial strategists in all fifty states, Canada, and the US territories. For the linguists reading this: Miliare is pronounced milli-AR-ay, an Italian word for “milestone.”

How did you get started in your industry?
I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers and people, so when an opportunity came to be on a team that believes in financial education and planning, regardless of their current financial situation, I saw a space that checked both boxes for me.

What services do you offer and what makes The Miliare Group different?
Our team of independent financial strategists stands out because we are partnered with over 190 of the leading financial companies, and we utilize those partnerships to build custom strategies based on the complete financial needs of our clients. We provide financial education to families and businesses, and work with them across all aspects of their financial picture, whether it be in one area or many. It starts with information and a complimentary financial review, then we discuss which of our services are right for our clients. Those services include budgeting and cash management, emergency savings planning, proper protection against loss of income, building wealth, legacy planning, and more. Additionally, we work with businesses to add value to employee benefit packages, as well as working with employees individually to plan for their financial futures.

What do you like most about your work?
I love to help people make small changes that have big rewards, and providing the education plus a clear picture for their financial peace of mind is incredibly rewarding. When I help a client plan for their future and they have clarity and hope around their finances, it makes my day.

Any advice for others?
My advice for others would be: don’t put it off! Talking about money isn’t always a fun subject, but we have seen so many sad stories of people who thought they’d get around to organizing their finances soon, but then something happened and their families are left holding pieces of a financial puzzle that they’re not sure how to fit together. Sitting down with a financial strategist for a few hours has the potential to make a positive impact on your financial situation, regardless of your current financial position.

Anything else you’d like to share?
I’m honored to be a part of a team that values people, and we work to show that through the loyalty we build with our clients as well as the ongoing relationships we maintain to ensure alignment in their goals. Remember: the name “Miliare” means “milestone.” We chose that name because our clients are marking a new step on their journey, and regardless of their financial history, measuring forward progress as they work with us.
