Springfield Community Development Advisory Committee to Hold Public Hearing on CDBG Funding

The City of Springfield’s Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) will host a public meeting on Wednesday, April 2, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. to gather input on the proposed allocation of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for Fiscal Year 2026. The Committee will also discuss and make a recommendation to the Springfield City Council regarding this funding.
Community members are encouraged to attend and share their feedback. The meeting will be held both in person and virtually to support broad participation.

About The Springfield Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC):
The Springfield Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) advises the City Council on matters related to the City’s housing and community development efforts, funded through the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. These funds primarily support services for low- and moderate-income Springfield residents. The CDAC is composed of up to seven voting members and two ex-officio members, who typically meet a few times each year. Recruitment for new committee members usually occurs in late summer or fall.
