Originally launched as a small gathering in 2019, Springfield, The BLOCK Party was reimagined and rebuilt for 2022 by local residents Benjamin Wilkinson and Trudy Bauchery. With over 50 performances, 30 local vendors/tables, and 20 kid- and family-friendly activities, last fall’s Friday celebration included flying axes, bouncing houses, handcrafted goods, food trucks, and local libations, all featuring Springfield at its finest.

Drawing 3000+ participants on a smoky evening in downtown Springfield, the enormously successful event was welcomed enthusiastically by business owners, member groups, civic leaders, and most importantly, those that the event was created for – Springfield’s citizens.

Beyond the fun, The BLOCK Party encourages community engagement, with local businesses showcasing their products and services, creating opportunity and supporting the local economy. “A true party for those who know better,” this year’s BLOCK Party will once again combine forces with Noche Cultural, a nonprofit organization committed to serving our Latinx community, for a downtown spectacular along the 300 block of Main Street.

“Everyone TALKS about downtown Springfield. We want them to show up and see what we’re actually all about: down to earth, friendly people having a great time, together.”

– Benjamin Wilkinson, Owner, Common Bond Yoga, and Springfield, The BLOCK Party organizer
