Lane Transit District (LTD) has released the first of two videos to better inform community members about how the District develops its annual budget, including explanations about budget funding sources, how the District’s budget decisions are made, and how the public can participate in the process that annually funds transportation service, facilities, and staffing.

“We hope the videos make the District’s budget process more easily understood by the public,” said LTD’s Finance Director Christina Shew, who narrated the videos. “The goal for the videos is to connect our communities with the budget information they need to be well-informed participants in the District’s budget process as well as better understand our services and how what we budget for today can impact LTD’s service in the future.”

The first video in the series, Budget 101: The Budget Process, is less than four minutes long and is posted on the LTD website at LTD.org/financials. A second video that explains the District’s proposed fiscal year 2022-2023 budget will be posted in the coming weeks.

The videos are produced by LTD’s Marketing and Communications Department in partnership with local marketing firm Bell + Funk and visual storytellers Attic Media.

Information about LTD’s budget and financial documents are available online at LTD.org/financials.
