Lane County Printing Legacy Enters New Chapter as Koke Printing

More than a century after Joseph Koke started a printing company in Eugene, a fourth generation is carrying the family name forward. QSL Print Communications, TechnaPrint and Instaprint are officially united under one name, Koke Printing.
The new name marks the latest chapter in a printing legacy that has remained in Lane County for nearly 120 years. Joseph Koke established the family’s first printing company in Eugene in 1907. QSL Print Communications joined that history nearly a century later when Doug Koke formed Koke New Century and acquired QSL in 2007. Koke New Century purchased Accessible Data Services and Instaprint in 2012. KNC acquired TechnaPrint in 2022 and most recently purchased Hemp Press in early 2026. Each acquisition has expanded the company’s capabilities while also strengthening Koke’s commitments to quality, innovation, and service.

Today, a new generation of the Koke family is carrying that legacy forward together. Melissa Koke, along with her sister, Keri, and brother, Ryan, works alongside a longtime team as the brands come together under the Koke Printing name.
“This is about honoring what our family and our team have built and carrying that legacy forward. Our clients will continue working with the same people they know and trust. Now, we have one name that represents our history, our people and the future we are building together. This rebrand also gave us a chance to align internally after several acquisitions in our recent history. We’re excited to reintroduce ourselves to the community as one company, one vision and one culture.”
– Melissa Koke, President and CEO, Koke Printing
“Our Dad taught us the importance of craftsmanship and that good enough is the enemy of great. We are constantly investing in technology to help us bring the best quality to our customers,” said Ryan Koke.
The announcement comes as Melissa Koke was recently named the 2026 Woman Business Leader of the Year by the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, recognizing her leadership and community involvement as she guides the family business through growth and innovation.
The transition brings the expertise and capabilities of three established printing companies together under one recognizable name, making it easier for customers to access a wider range of services and solutions. From traditional offset, digital and wide-format printing to mailing, binding and finishing, variable data printing, diecutting, web-to-print, storage, and fulfillment, Koke Printing offers comprehensive printing services backed by generations of experience.
“We’re really thankful to continue our family’s legacy of making printed projects for Lane County. We have many long-term staff who are an important part of this legacy too.”
– Keri Ortiz, Administration Manager, Koke Printing
The company continues to invest in printing technology while maintaining the craftsmanship and personal relationships that have defined the family business for generations.
The Koke Printing name also carries special meaning for the family after Doug Koke’s passing in late 2025. Doug’s vision led the family printing business into its next century, creating Koke New Century Inc. and acquiring QSL in 2007. Today, his children, Melissa, Keri and Ryan, along with his wife, Nancy, are helping carry forward the family business and the values he instilled in it.
Doug’s philosophy remains part of the company’s culture: “Be kind to people, do great work and have fun.”
