Springfield Public Library and History Museum Host Free Spring Break Events for Families and Teens

Families looking for free and engaging activities during Spring Break can explore a full week of programs at the Springfield Public Library and Springfield History Museum from March 20-28, 2026.
The weeklong lineup features interactive workshops, live animal encounters, film screenings, storytimes, and hands-on learning opportunities for youth, teens, and families.
“Our goal is to bring engaging entertainment, hands-on learning, and STEAM-related activities to school-age youth and the wider community during Spring Break. Thanks to the Springfield Utility Board, we are able to offer programs that inspire curiosity and creativity.”
– Abigail Craig, Youth Services Librarian, Springfield Public Library
“We are also grateful for the many community partners who help make these events possible,” said Cara Kinsey, Teen and Adult Services Librarian. “Organizations such as the Springfield Utility Board, the Thunderegg Rock Club, and the Young Leaders Program help bring exciting opportunities to Springfield youth.”
