NeuropsychiatryTX set to bring unique testing and treatment options to the area in late February

EUGENE, Ore. (Feb. 15, 2022) – As the need for mental health services continues to grow, a new clinic, set to open in Eugene soon, will bring new treatment options to area residents.

Among the clinic’s revolutionary treatments offered, NeuropsychiatryTX will be the first mental health treatment clinic in Eugene to offer Ketamine treatment for depression, anxiety, OCD, and traumatic stress.

“NeuropsychiatryTX will be a trendsetting clinic,” said CEO Jonathan Wayne. “I believe everyone should have access to all mental health resources in one location. I’ve witnessed first-hand the challenges patients have faced with having to make multiple appointments for clinics to get treatment. Having everything in one place creates the opportunity for greater patient satisfaction, greater patient outcomes and overall continuity of care.”

“Our clinic will be the first ketamine clinic in Eugene, the first and only ADHD Testing Center in Eugene and the first LGBTQ Mental Health Clinic in Eugene,” Wayne said.

He said among the clinic’s services will be diagnostic evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, LGBTQ+ mental health services and ADHD confirmation testing, including FDA-approved telehealth testing.

He also noted along with their services, the clinic itself is designed toward inclusivity.

“There is very limited access for mental health for persons of color in our community,” Wayne said. “I look to improve that with the opening of the clinic. I’m also working to ensure a culturally and ethnically diverse staff that can help serve the community in a way that resonates with the individuals that live in it.”

That diversity, he said, starts at the top.

“The clinic will be the first black-owned psychiatric practice here in Eugene,” Wayne said. “Along with that it will be the first black and queer-owned psychiatric practice in the entire state of Oregon.”

With his background and a diversity-minded business model, he hopes to create an inclusive clinic where everyone is welcomed.

“We foster an environment where you can feel comfortable to be yourself,” Wayne said. “Our approach centers around love, compassion and authenticity.”

Passionate about mental health, he found the depth of the community’s need for mental health services after working in a local inpatient psychiatry unit.

“I quickly realized the lack of resources and the need of additional mental health services in the community,” Wayne said. “And the results of that need can be devastating. I’m a strong believer that mental health plays a major role on physical health and how much a lack of mental health can impede physical healing and spirituality.”

Prior to opening the clinic in Eugene, he provided psychiatric care to the LGBTQ+ community, primarily in the state of California.

Outside of mental health experience, Wayne has also provided emergency room critical care, medical trauma support services and various roles in healthcare management.

The clinic is set to open at 2:22 p.m. on Feb. 22, 2022.

“My top priority is increasing access to care by providing mental health services seven days a week,” Wayne said. “I look forward to helping members of the community find better mental health resources, now and well into the future.”

More information will be available on the clinic’s website, neuropsychiatrytx.com, closer to opening.
