Local Legacy in Printing
Earlier this year, Koke New Century Inc. Companies, the parent company of QSL Print Communications and instaprint, announced the acquisition of Eugene printing business TechnaPrint. QSL and TechnaPrint have been longtime members of The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and we can personally vouch for the excellence in their services, the most recent project being printing our 2021-22 Magazine + Directory! We’re excited to see that the companies stay locally-owned and operated in our Lane County metro area and continue with their dedication to serve our community’s printing needs.
We followed up with Koke New Century representatives with a few questions to expand upon the what’s and why’s of this acquisition, and some exciting services that they offer. The original announcement of the acquisition is available to view in their press release published last month here.
How has the transition process been since the acquisition of this company? Have any notable unforeseen benefits or challenges come up as a result of the acquisition?
This was an acquisition where TechnaPrint becomes our third location — all three businesses will continue to operate as-is for the most part. As we get into integrating the companies together, we are finding it’s an even better fit than we had anticipated. We’re going to be able to service customers much more efficiently.
Are there any new printing services offered as a result of this acquisition? Or, can you highlight an interesting service that patrons may not know about?
We have been putting ink on paper for over 100 years in our family, but we also have a wide format department that prints directly to rigid substrates like wood, poly metals and acrylic as well as roll materials like banners and canvas.
This means you can purchase your event and way-finding signage at the same place you’ve always sourced the rest of your marketing materials, and it’s all produced locally by the same company.
QSL, TechnaPrint & instaprint go way beyond ink on paper! While commercial printing makes up the core of our offerings — mailing, warehousing, and fulfillment are extensions of our full-service capabilities.
From signage & any wide-format project to complex mailing campaigns and marketing materials to packaging and labels, we can do it all. We’re truly a comprehensive commercial print service.
We’re big on project satisfaction, too! We consult with you before, during & after your project to ensure satisfaction. You’re offered proofs for projects before we print so you can sign off on the color & content before we hit print.
Why should Chamber and community members choose to bring their printing projects to companies under Koke New Century Inc?
For Chamber members, choosing a Koke New Century company means more control of brand standards and quality as well as having a vendor who cares about your business on your side. We encourage customer relationships with our service reps and on-site press checks, and we’ll even deliver your project hot off the press from right down the street for free.
Printing is our Koke family legacy — since 1907, customers could always count on a Koke-run printing company in Lane county.
In our fourth generation of family ownership, our trio of businesses makes up the most comprehensive and sustainable printing service in the area.
We have very high standards and aim to be nimble & easy to work with. We are small enough to give personal attention but our 65 employees have the talent and capacity to complete even your largest projects on time and on budget. This is why we say “from simple to extraordinary – Yes, we print that!”
It’s also important to us to be a sustainable manufacturer. You can feel good about the way in which your projects are made, using sustainable materials and methods. We are FSC and RE:think certified, but please come see for yourself. We love giving tours and showing how we manufacture your printed pieces.
When you choose QSL, instaprint, or TechnaPrint, you are choosing to work with a team of humble but fiercely capable print professionals. Our businesses aren’t just located in Lane County; our employees & 4th generation owners live here. We cherish the opportunity to give, to learn, to help, & to commune with our fellow citizens in this great place we call home. We are most proud of our partnerships with the local arts community & organizations serving children.
