Accounting Firm Kernutt Stokes Names Brent Laird as Partner

Brent Laird, CPA, has been promoted to partner at Eugene-based Kernutt Stokes. Laird joined Kernutt Stokes in 2011 and has served as a senior manager in the tax department, specializing in forest products, opportunity zones, and partnership taxation for the past 10 years. Laird is also a subject matter leader in the industry on the subjects of Opportunity Zones, the Qualified Business Income Deduction and the Business Interest Limitation. 

Before joining Kernutt Stokes, Laird worked for Oregon Community Credit Union for three years and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Oregon, and a Master of Science in Taxation degree with honors from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), and is a past treasurer of the Oregon Club of Eugene/Springfield.
