We’re pleased to announce that the following providers have joined PeaceHealth:

Dr. Eric Christensen has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Family Medicine team. He is based in the South Clinic in south Eugene. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed his internal medicine residency at Texas Health Presbyterian in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Dhaval Desai, has joined PeaceHealth’s Neurology team as a neurohospitalist. He earned his medical degree from M.P. Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, India. He completed his neurology residency at University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky., and he completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology with an emphasis in epilepsy at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.

Nurse practitioner Nicole Drahuschak has joined PeaceHealth’s Gastroenterology team. She earned her master of science in nursing from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. She previously worked as a palliative care nurse practitioner at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Miss.

Nurse practitioner Linda McIntyre has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Adult & Family Medicine team. She is based at PeaceHealth’s new same-day clinic in south Eugene. She earned her master of science in nursing with a family nurse practitioner focus from Walden University, based in Minneapolis, Minn. She previously worked as a family nurse practitioner at the Klamath Health Partnership in Klamath Falls.

Nurse practitioner Dustin McKague has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Adult and Family Medicine team. He earned a master of science in nursing with a family nurse practitioner focus from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He previously was an RN with PeaceHealth’s surgical care unit. 

Dr. Margareth Saldanha has joined PeaceHealth as a neurohospitalist. She earned her medical degree from University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Fla. She completed her neurology residency and a sleep medicine fellowship at the University of Miami School of Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

Nurse practitioner Morgan Shasteen has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Adult & Family Medicine team. She is based at the University District clinic. She earned a master of science in nursing, with specialty in Adult-Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio. She previously worked as a locum for PeaceHealth Medical Group Adult & Family Medicine.

Dr. Katherine Swank has joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Urgent Care team. She earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Neb. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She previously worked for Eugene Emergency Physicians.


Dr. Alysha Bennett has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Pediatric team. She is based at the RiverBend Pavilion pediatric clinic. She earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Sciences University in Portland and completed her pediatric internship and residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital/Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. She previously worked for Eugene Pediatric Associates.

Nurse practitioner Myra DeLine has joined PeaceHealth Cottage Grove Community Medical Center’s Primary Care team. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from University of Wisconsin in Madison. She previously worked as an adult/geriatric nurse practitioner with Signature Healthcare at Home in Eugene.

Dr. Jayme McAllister has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Pediatric team. She is based at the University District pediatric clinic. She earned her medical degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita and Kansas City, Kansas, and she completed her pediatric residency at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She enjoys swimming, water sports, reading and traveling.  

Dr. Katherine Omernick has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Pediatric team. She is based at the Barger clinic. She completed her medical degree and her pediatric residency at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine & Public Health in Madison, Wis. She has an interest in local and global health and outreach to underserved populations. 

Dr. Emma Sachs has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Family Medicine team. She is based at the University District clinic. She earned her Doctorate of Osteopathy from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest in Lebanon, Ore. She completed her Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Augusta, Maine. She has an interest in preventative medicine, addiction medicine and serving the homeless population.
