QuackChats are monthly pub talks by UO professors. They are informal opportunities for the community to learn more about the outstanding research going on at the U and engage with UO faculty members.

University of Oregon history professor Steven Beda gives a free Quack Chats pub talk. Loggers and environmentalists share an impressive record of working together to protect the environment and public lands.

Beda’s upcoming book is titled “Strong Winds and Widow Makers: A History of Workers, Nature, and Environmental Conflict in the Pacific Northwest Timber Country, 1900 to Present.”
